About Us 55+ community Homeowners Association

 Highland Meadows Estates Association, Inc. or HMEE provides housing for persons 55 years of age or older and is located in beautiful Deerfield Beach. We strive to maintain our  community as one where owners are the full time or seasonal occupants.  HMEE was established in the early 1970s and over time, its members and  directors have made ongoing improvements to its amenities which include a  spacious clubhouse which seats up to 220 persons with a full commercial  kitchen; a beautiful outdoor swimming pool; an exercise room,  ping-pong and billards room; newly renovated shuffle board courts; a  petanque court; and a large outdoor BBQ area with seating. 

WiFi is available throughout the clubhouse , pool and recreational  areas. Our gated community is managed by our member Board of Directors  which enables us to maintain very low HOA fees. We fund  both operations  and regular community improvements each year and maintain a Capital  Reserve to address scheduled renovation, upgrade or replacement of major  facilities. This approach has eliminated the need for special  assessments over the past decade and should continue to do so going  forward. During the late fall/ winter high season, full time residents  welcome back our northern neighbors, largely from eastern Canada.... as  social and recreational activites ramp-up.
